I predict this gen will have a different approach, however small. It just feels like GameFreak knows that the generation of kids below me(I'm 20 now) are not as susceptible to the gimmick that they have played so well in the past. And believe me, kids these days know. They know!
I am not stating my opinion here, just an observation of trends.

Kinda sucks the current gen will be done and start dying. I will pick up 1 of the new ones the very day it comes out in US like usual. Not excited till we get an announced date for here. I feel a story change is in order along with wi-fi changes and a few other things. I hope they do not comeout with some lame move that every team has someone dedicated to like stealth rock. Its absurd for pokemon like vespiquen and charizard to be in NU and the main reason listed is SR along with a few minor things. I myself use em if I want but its retarded to lose half your hp upon sending out.

Black and white is a distinct possibility I think. Here's an idea though: What if the color you pick depends what side your on. Black allows you to play as an "evil team" member, while White task you with fighting them. Both version would allow you to collect badges etc, but the end goal would be different.
