Well technically in the League, the usage of Ubers in battles is not restricted (Though it is frowned upon) except for the following two Pokemons:
Arceus
Darkrai
So that being said, despite the fact that Salamence is now an Uber, it is still not banned from any battles hosted here.

Smogon takes pokemon way too seriously. I'm surprised they haven't been raged at. Or even people that attempted to take them down. I also bet that 70%+ of the people who play pokemon think that whoever created Smogon; that person has absolutely nothing better to do in his life.

Smogon is why I created this league. I was tired of battling people pased on Smogon's garbage tiers.

As MTGXerxes said. Smogon treats pokemon like an algebra problem.
They've done a huge amount for competitive play, but they've become so obsessed with the numbers that they take all of the fun out of playing.
