I had an idea I thought might be fun. A create a pokemon contest. Here's how it works, You're tasked with coming up with an idea for a new evo line of pokemon. Once a month I and the other judges will decide the winner. The winner will get a free EV'd pokemon of their choice from me (I'll make you anything you want). One thing though, don't halfass this. You need to show that you put some thought into it if you want to succeed. In addition, if you win, you will not be eligible to win the next month's competition. The information you need is as follows:
1) Name: You will need to provide a name for your new pokemon and names for its evolutions (it doesn't have to evolve, but it would be appreciated.) You also need to explain the reason behind your name.
2) A picture and description: I know you're not artists, so your picture does not have to be fantastic, but at least try. You can even use MS Paint if you want. I don't care if it's stick figures. This is just to show that you put some thought into it. You can have someone else make your picture if you want to. Along with your picture you should write a paragraph describing what your pokemon looks like and what it does.
3) Type, Stats, Abilities, and Evolution Levels: Explain what type your pokemon is. What level it evolves at. What abilities it can get (be reasonable) and then give it a stat distribution. You may not make your pokemon ridiculously broken. Therefore you are limited to 525 total base stats for your pokemon. You will need to split them between: HP, Atk, Def, Sp Atk, Sp Def, and Speed
*You may not make any of the pokemon's stats below base 50, with the exception of speed, which may be as low as 40.
4) Moves: List some of the main moves your pokemon learns. Don't go overboard. Again, I'm not looking for something that is ridiculously broken, be realistic. You will get bonus points for submitting a full level-up move list.
5) Pokedex Entry: Create a short pokedex entry for your pokemon.
6) Reasoning Why did you make this pokemon. What do you think it would be capable of and what would it be bad at? Is it a sweeper? A tank? What does it contribute to a team?
You MAY NOT create an evolution for an existing pokemon. You must make a new idea.

By default Neutral wins round one. We'll try one more time, if I don't get at least three entries, this contest will be discontinued. Next round ends on the 1st of September, since I'll be gone on vacation.

If you want to, sure. This contest it's self has been shut down (due to lack of people participating), but I'll gladly give you the prize if what you submit is good.

I need to figure out how I can get my printer to scan my hand-drawn pics.)

Looks good so far, but remember, as per the rules, you need to keep the BST to 525 or less.

I said it was PSEUDO-LEGENDARY, and when's the last time you saw one with a BST of 525? Plus, your contest manager said it would be acceptable so long as he wasn't dissapointed. Also, I have the pictures as files on my computer, but I can't find any help on how to upload files from your computer to the forums. Can someone help me with this?

I was speaking for him because previously this thread was dead. His word is over mine, as he a judge, the creator of the contest, and an admin on the forum.
I'm sorry for any confusion/inconvenience.

The reason we have the 525 bst rule is because we want people to think about their stat spreads. With 600 bst it becomes way too easy to make something super broken. In order to upload images you need to put them on an image hosting site like imgur or photobucket. Once you do that you can post the image code here and they'll show up.

So, does THAT mean that Zyklawn is broken. Like GARCHOMP!? I tried to balance it with vulerability and a limited moveset. And thanks for the advice, I WILL try to upload Zyklawn's picture to the forums. But, since my printer is old, PLEASE don't mind any bad quality. The drawings look better in person...
