I noticed something this morning that I felt needed to be addressed. In the topic "GAHH should I get... XL!", an argument began over the usage of the name DS Phat.
User A called his system "DS Phat" User B said he'd rather it be called "Original (not Phat U ANNOYING NOOBS >_<)" User A took offense to his noob remark User B states it was a joke, Mod A agrees User A says that he feels it was directed as an insult to him Mod A insists it was a joke, topic is locked, reason given is "Because of User A"
In all honesty, I do not feel the mod acted in an appropriate manner by locking the topic "because of User A". The topic should have been closed due to potential argument, as mods should practice impartiality (which I changed it to). It takes two to argue and by picking one specifically, sides were taken. The only reason a topic should be closed only because of one person is an obvious troll attempt. In any other situation, single users should not be explicitly named.
That is all.

EDITED by NinjaDeathStrike.
We're not continuing the arguments here. Danman is right. Mods should be impartial. Topic locked unless Austin has something to say about it.

Then let's solve the problem and take away my moderator abilities. I OBVIOUSLY do not deserve to be a mod because I practice favoritism, correct? By the way, just use the usernames. It pisses me off when people just use "Person A" when it's me they're talking about.

Calm down. I'm not taking moderator away from anybody, because I trust all of my mods. However, I would appreciate if mods could decide fairly, though the argument in question shouldn't be an issue in the first place, as the argument is totally stupid and retarded. Moderators do need to practice patience and impartiality to the best of their ability, however, board users have no right to be total idiots. I vote rather than taking sides, we lock the topic when an illigitimate argument (Such as DS Phat vs. DS Original) is taking place. If it's a argument over something that matters, like an uber that someone wants banned or such, then that topic deserves merit; however, the topic in question is just plain stupid. Dash, I appreciate the mod guidelines, I'd been meaning to do that, and that's very helpful. Nathan, I'm not taking your moderator away, nor do I plan to.
