K so, I was playing through my heart gold version that I just got, (only had soul silver before) and I ran into a golden Caterpie. Of course I caught it, but still. Of all the pokemon to get shiny, a Caterpie.... My personal first shiny.

mine was rattata lol
i just captured a bunch of pokemon then i went left of viridian city in fired red to train them and there it was.

My was an apiom (sp?) in the original Silver version. Got him by headbutting a tree.

My first was a golden Bellsprout which I found along the route connecting Cerulean to Saffron City in Pokemon Gold (the first Gold).
However it went yellowy when I used it in Pokemon Stadium 2 on the Nintendo64.

Mine was a purple Drowzee in the original Gold version. I was training chikorita.

My first was found at Mt. Silver playing Pokemon Heartgold at night back in November. It was a pink and gold Sneasel. However, it had the wrong nature, so I didn't want to use it in battle  . |

Ouch. I hate that. That's how it was when I caught a shiny zubat, it was a timid nature.

Still have it TSG? Special Crobat might work. It would be a bit gimmicky, but it's certainly usable and the +spd nature is something Crobat always likes to have.

My first shiny was a golden magikarp on my Ruby version. I was just surfing around in Sootopolis city when I just came across it. The thing that sucks about having this shiny though, is people will think it's just the one from HeartGold and SoulSilver (Red Gyarados).
However....
I also found a shiny in my Emerald version. Back in Dewford cave, I found a shiny Aron (I have no idea where it is anymore). I caught that.
Also when I was a lot younger...
When I was playing through my Gold version I believe... I could have sworn I saw a shiny Magneton. However being the young dumb ass I was I killed it. Didn't know any better, what can I say?
