BackStory:
Raven & Van are two brothers who was born on the same day, but different years. Their father had moved to kanto to learn of the other world since America has changed through the actions of one of their relatives, Zeon. There he met a women and started a family which Raven & Van were born. They went to Hoenn to go visit their grandmother, the boys already knew of their ancestor Zeon;however, they learned that they had another ancestor, the champion of Kanto till he died from age, Zero. Raven obtained Zero's compassion for others & determination to get stronger. Van obtained Zeon's ideals & always worked his way to making a better world for everyone by helping people. Raven & Van were talented battlers, but Van was more skilled in which Raven always looked up to him. It seemed that the parents knew about this & it was time for them to receive their respected pokes. Since Van was three years older than Raven he received his first pokemon which was Skorupi with Raven having to wait three more years. He treated it with care and together they became partners. As Van took Raven out on a walk, they came across a bloodshed in the forest. The people wanted to go through the afterlife to bring back their love ones. They watched as their attempt succeeded; however, instead of a human Dusknoir emerged and killed all the people to increase his power, but he spared Van & Raven as he saw potential. It looked at the brothers as Dusknoir surrounded them in darkness. As Raven woke up with his brother worrying if he’s alright. Everything seemed back to normal after that incident. As Raven walked back to his house, he sees his parents being rushed to the hospital. Wondering what happened, he tried to find his brother and headed to the mountains as he heard a cry for help. As Raven heads to the mountain, he sees Van smirking as he told Raven that he was the one that put his parents in a critical state, saying that they didn’t believe in his ideal world. It turns out that Dusknoir corrupted Van's ideals in making the world full of chaos & evil as he wanted the pokemon to rule mankind. Raven tried to attack, but he was easily defeated by Van as his final words was to get stronger & find power if you want to win. Van fully knocks him out and puts an egg beside Raven as the last thing he sees is Van walking away with Dusknoir behind him. Raven wakes up in a orphan home as the first thing he does is head to the hospital to check his parents. They were alive, but in a manner which will take several weeks to recover. Raven heads out as the egg Van gave him suddenly hatched which gave him Deino. Now on a journey to find power, they joined a group that wants to use legends to help mankind. Unknown to the group, they only joined was to get legends to stop Van before he uses them for evil.
