My 2nd installment of RMT. (Note: I know this is now recently used by Wilchase, i used it MONTHS before him so....yeah) This one isn't so random and hopefully it will make more sense to you guys.
Team at a Glance
A more balanced team with only Dragonite taking damage from sand, it is breaking it's multiscale but it being a more bulky dragon it rarely ever comes into play
In Depth:
Dinosaur the Tyranitar
Careful
Sand Stream
Leftovers
252 Sp.Def 252 Hp 4 Defense
Moves:
Ice beam
Fire blast
Stealth rock
Earthquake
With every sand team in OU you need T-Tar. With mine i decided to have a mix set since it only needs to get the sand going to set up rocks. Kills with it aren't needed but can always be helpful. With the ice beam and fire blast combo it's pretty nice but never really impacted many battles
Blob the Reuniculus
Bold
Magic Guard
Leftovers
252 HP 252 Def 4 sp.atk
Moves:
Recover
Calm mind
Psychic
Toxic
Ah Reuniculus. At first i thought you were useless. That has been changed. Reuniculus works out great as it takes no leech seed, burn, sand, etc. damage. I find this a very good check to ferrothorn as it can't do a thing to it other than run away. Usually i can set up a calm mind or 2 and just wreck face with it is just a tank.
Jawz the Lucario
Adamant
Steadfast
Life orb
252 atk 252 spd. 4hp
Moves:
Swords dance
Extremespeed
Ice punch
Close combat
Da na...Da na....Da na na na na na CHOMP. Yes. Like in Jaws once this thing gets in sight of you you're pretty much dead as Jawz has OHKO'd Ferrothorns, chanseys, blisseys you name it. With Ice punch instead of EQ or somethin gives me a good attack against flying, dragon, grass, bug (i think i'm forgetting one) and i'm glad in the end i picked Ice punch. E-speed, Swords dance and CC don't need an explanation.
Hades the Landorus
Jolly
Sand Force
Leftovers
252 atk. 252 spd. 4 HP
Moves:
Smack down
Earthquake
Substitute
Swords dance
Hades. The one pokemon I spent the most time trying to perfect. In the end instead of a Life orb one i went with the sub swords set. With the combo of smack down and EQ i can hit anything which is REALLY helpful with skarmory and stuff. Not much left can be said other than he was the most painful one to make.
Gary the Gastrodon
Calm
Storm Drain
Leftovers
252 Hp 252 sp. Def 4 sp. atk
Moves:
Recover
Scald
Ice beam
Earth power
Meow...Not much can be said about how "different" this gastrodon is, it's standard. With this being able to take life orb latios draco meteors, it's proven pretty useful in a way I didn't expect. If i were to make a new team I would definately use Gastrodon
Fluffy the Dragonite
Careful
Multiscale
Leftovers/Choice band
252 atk 148 sp.def 108 spd.
Moves:
Outrage
Aqua Tail
Dragon Dance
Extremespeed
Ah Fluffy, how odd it was to use you with a choice band, it worked occasionally but i had higher hopes. With aqua tail kind of being a "joke" move I actually kind of like it as most people don't expect it.
Final Thoughts: First making this team I was skeptical as I rarely use weather teams and I thought I would not be good with this and just screw it up a lot. That wasn't the case this time as to me I think this is a very good sand team and I would suggest it to EVERYONE as it has been so good to me.
