Story Line Name: A Brave New World
Opened Party Slots: Kanto Characters
NinjaDeathStrike
Chaos
Shark
Mike
Timeline: 1894
Starting Level: 50 (yes 50, consider this high-level DLC for the main plot).
Restricted Classes: None
Setting:
Kanto
It has been two years since the events of Iilac. Everyone has returned to Kanto and settled into a routine. Life is good. Zero is throwing an anniversary party to commemorate his victory at the pokemon league. Everyone is gathered at the island house to celebrate.
Notes: The point of this storyline is to close out some plot points from the original two regions, let me test out a new battling system, and finally to allow me to finish telling the story I began way back in Kanto.
So there are some things you should know before you sign up.
1) As you can see everyone is starting at the level cap. There will be no leveling up. You should choose your abilities and use them however you can to survive. You will start with:
2) This is a story oriented session. I'm in the process of outlining the plot, but I only have a week to get this done in. So, there's not going to be a lot of extra time to mess around. No wild poke hunting, no gyms, just the day's mission.
3) I'm planing to do this over my winter break, which is Jan 16 - Jan 22. It looks like the plot will last 4-5 days. We'll do one mission every night, and only one mission every night. I know you guys will probably be in school, so I will make an effort to start as early as possible each night. I'm aiming for sessions running between 7-9pm. Sorry if you can't make it on every night, but this is the only time I have to do it, so we won't be able to wait for you.
4) This will end my storyline with these characters for good. This is the last opportunity you'll have to use these characters while I'm AGing. If I do a new story in the future, you'll have to pick a new character.
5) As I mentioned, the battle system is going to be changed. I'm going to try something completely different here. This story is also kind of a test run to see if it will work. The battle system will work like so:
Rather than the very complicated, but very accurate system we have now, I'm going to be attempting a more loose style of battling. It will be more like the anime where your pokemon are able to do things outside of their normal battle commands. However, the more complicated order you give them, the higher roll you'll need to succeed. Boost to damage such as Ace Trainer abilities will still be applied, but not in tangible numbers like they are now (basically you'll be able to knock things out quicker than others and have a higher likelihood of pulling off fancy battle maneuvers.)
There's a chance the system might not work, and it will definitely need some tweaking, but I'm tired of battles taking an hour or more to finish. This is an attempt to combat that while also providing players a chance to get creative.
The battles will still have pokemon actions and trainer actions, but now you can try to have your pokemon do something special OR just order a straight up attack. Obviously attack commands are much more likely to succeed than special commands, but the later can have a much bigger payoff. Just remember, if you try to do something crazy, it's going to be almost impossible to pull off.
6) It's been a few years since Iilac. I suggest you have a back story about what your character has been doing with their time. Not a necessity, but just something I recommend.

1) As you can see everyone is starting at the level cap. There will be no leveling up. You should choose your abilities and use them however you can to survive. You will start with:
- 111 total stat points (One extra for your class, but no bonuses for items/clothing)
- 27 abilities (since we're only playing for a week. I'll be using the stat based abilities rather than the time one. Make sure you have the needed stats for your abilities or you won't be able to use them.)
- 10,000P
- Any two weapons you've collected in either Kanto or Iilac (you can only carry two weapons at a time)
- 6 pokemon that you already own, raised to level 100. These are the only pokemon you'll have throughout the story. If one of them dies, there will not be a replacement. They will keep any TM, egg moves, or tutor moves you taught them, but you can not give them any new moves.
- You don't have any TMs, but to make things more convenient, all TMs will be in stock at the TM shop if you can afford them.
