If you haven't seen, X and Y are the new Pokemon games coming out next October.
ADD: Official release date: October 12th, 2013!
This clearly shows a few things: There will be a 3DS Pokemon game with full 3D battle animations and such. It also announces the starters: Fennekin, Froakie, and Chespin.
From there, Sylveon, the newest Eeveelution was annouched with a new taunt by the Pokemon company:
They don't mention it's type. The suspicions are on Normal, Flying, and/or a new type.
And most recently, A new(?) Pokemon has been released:
It is most likely one of two things: A new Mewtwo form, or a Mewthree of sorts. TPCI has been taunting us with this as well, as they compare the Pokemon with obvious similarities to Mewtwo to it, but don't explain the correlation.

‘CoroCoro’ Leaks, Confirms Mewtwo’s New Forme
New Mewtwo-like thing has been confirmed as a New Mewtwo Forme. I am not happy.
Now Pokemon's officially announced it's not a form.
Sorry for this being delayed, but Four new Pokemon have been released:
Gogoat (grass),
Pancham (fighting),
Fletchling (normal-flying),
and Heloptile(normal-electric)
On top of that, this reveals that the region is indeed quite France-like, and is called the Kalos Region. Here's the map:
The latest addition to the puzzle of X and Y Gamefreak's been handing us includes two new Pokemon, Noivern, a Dragon-Flying type that learns a new move (Boomburst), and Vivilion, a bug-flying type.
Most notably, this update confirms Fairy type. Not too much is known about it as of yet, but it was retrofitted onto some Pokemon. Known fairy types: Sylveon, Gardevoir, Jigglypuff, and Marill.
Fairy type will be super effective against dragon type,
and the only known attack that is Fairy type as of yet is Moonblast.
Also the male protagonist's name is Xavier.

The flying pokemon in this video is Talonflame a Fire-flying type that evolves from Fletchling
And in the X and Y Q&A more was revealed:
Skrelp is a Poison-Water type
Clauncher is a Water-type
You can ride more than just Gogoat in the city, (an example given was a Rhydon in a rocky area)
8 Directional Movement
New dog-like fire type (yet to have a name or picture?)
Horde encounters (1v5)
There will still only be 1 save file (no surprise there, I doubt that will change ever)
Pokemon can be imported from previous games
EVs and IVs will be more visible
The focus of X and Y are on Beauty

Rematches have been made easier on wifi
Poke-Aime (it's a care thing)
Using Poke-Aime allows you get get more hax: crit and dodge
Character customization will be at least decent
Online battles will at least be similar to Black and White
Even more was released today! This time it's four new Pokemon (Names will most likely change, as these are from the Coro Coro leak):
Litleo: the lion cub Pokemon that learns a fancy growl (War Cry) (Fire Normal)
Flaébé: the lone flower Pokemon that learns Fairy Wind (whatever that is) (Fairy type)
Scatterbug: A bug type that evolves into Spewpa
Spewpa: A bug type that evolves into Vivilion
In case you didn't catch it, here's the evolution line:

It contains confirmation that a gym is bug type (Mist likely the first)
You will also have four rivals:

And the non character playable character.
