....Is it me or.....

I would like to say something that I have noticed in this picture here. As you can see, this is Hiun city, the revealed city of the newest region Isshu. However... I took advantage of them claiming this region will take place in an area very far away from the previous regions... Look at this I noticed in these 3 areas;

• Notice how near the top left of the city... There's 2 grey towers. Both of them being tall, the same height, and almost identical. Does this represent the Twin Towers of the USA? Maybe this is just a coincidence... But what if it really is the Twin Towers? Does that mean.... This is taking place in New York?
  
• Then I investigated more... I noticed a bridge on the right side. Now this reminds me a lot of that bridge which connects New York to Manhattan island.... I believe this bridge is called the Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge is almost completely identical to that one... Does this mean..... That this island could be Manhattan Island or New York?
  
• Then I noticed the docks... Think about New York, it's very urban, a whole lot like this city. It is also known for some seafood, as well as Rhode Island. So New York has a lot of docks on the shore... This represents that detail a lot...
  

Can these notices mean... This region is taking place in America? Let's go over some of the main points, and some of my claims.

• This island looks a lot like New York and Manhattan Island.
  
• They claimed that this region is taking place in a far far away place... America is far away...
  
• The trainers in this version look a lot different then the others. Notice how the Boy and Girl both wear jeans of some sort... Both also have more of a casual American look vs the other characters. The boy also has Brown Hair... Which is a combo breaker (Red, Gold, Ruby, and Diamond all had black hair), and one of the most common American hair colors. The girl... Just doesn't seem like the other girls as well. She dresses very differently, as well as her shoes, being actual gym shoes this time. Also, her mini shorts, being actual jeans this time.
  
• Lt. Surge is an American.
  
• Looker is part of an International Police, meaning other countries.
  

Wow, I write a lot, but yes. Please share your thoughts and ideas here. I would like to see what you all think about this.

Which brings up a theory of mine:
What if the world seen in the Pokemon games (and possibly the manga and anime) is an AU Earth? Not just an AU Earth where only the Pokemon nations exist, but also nations like America and Japan.

I doubt it. I just do not think they would have a refrence to twin towers in there game seems to much tbh.And why do people look into it so much? I mean it is a city big deal really it is possible it is coincidence, or the motivation for a city is from new york in no way willl it be in us. or even refer to us.

the alternate univerce part is true and obvious, but looking at all the previous regions, you can see that they all are various parts of Japan. I haven't looked much deeper than this for citys but... Tokyo is just about where Saffron City is. Saffron being the biggest city in that region and Johto combined. its also surrounded by smaller citys like suburbs, unlike Jubilife in DPPt. I think Neutral may just be onto something here.

Saffron is not Tokyo. Kanto is too far south to be near Tokyo. I'm not sure what city Saffron is supposed to be, possibly Nagoya, but that's still too far North I think.

As for Isshu being in New York. I suggested this as a possibility a while ago. However I'm starting to wonder if they don't place Isshu on America's west coast. There is a much larger population of Asian Americans on the west coast than there is on the east. I agree with Gene, there's no way they would include a reference tot he twin towers. Even Japan isn't that culturally insensitive. Plus, the towers have been gone for nearly ten years now, why include a landmark that no longer exist? In addition, that bridge actually resembles the Golden Gate Bridge much more than the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brooklyn Bridge is old, and the collums are made of stone. This bridge doesn't really look like it at all, except that they're both bridges. Also, if the game takes place on the west coast, there is more room for geographical diversity. Everything around Manhattan is city. You have to travel quite a ways to get to smaller towns and natural areas (caves, forest, etc.). On the other hand, San Franciso, LA, and San Deiego are more spread out and contain more suburbs and small towns. There is also a lot of coast between them that has the more nature based environments that pokemon is know for.

I'd say there is certainly a possibility that the new region could be based on New York, but it's not conclusive yet.
