i know who to ask
but when you talk to them(lets use hgss) they say random things
what do they say when the pokemon likes you enough to evolve?
i couldnt find a list on serebii but if someone has a sugestion as to where to look i would appreciate it

A Pokemon that evolves via happiness such as Golbat (to Crobat) or Pichu (to Pikachu) will evolve if their happiness is at 220 or above when it gains a level. In HG/SS (as well as G/S/C), a woman who lives in a house north-east of the bike shop in Goldenrod City will rate the happiness of the first Pokemon in your party. In Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald; a man who lives in a house in the south park of Verdanturf Town will rate the happiness of the first Pokemon in your party (In FR/LG, it's Blue's sister in Pallet Town). In D/P/Pt, Hearthome City, in the Pokémon Fan Club.
Happiness Indicators:
"It looks really happy! It move love you a lot."= 250-255 Happiness
"I get the feeling that it really trusts you."= 200-249 Happiness
"It's friendly towards you. It looks sort of happy."= 150-199 Happiness
"It's quite cute."= 100-149 Happiness
"You should treat it better. It's not used to you."= 50-99 Happiness
"It doesn't seem to like you at all. It looks mean."= 0-49 Happiness

Evolving by happiness is really irritating, especially if you don't have fly yet and can't easily check your happiness level. Giving a pokemon a sooth bell to hold and then battling random trainers really helps speed things up though.
