Yo. After seeing Ninja's attempt at it, I figured I might as well give it a try too. Unlike him though, I will be using HG so that way the two aren't similar. These are the standards rules that are put in place for a Nuzlocke Journey: (Stolen from Ninja's thread. )
1) If a pokemon faints in battle it is "killed" and must be released.
2) No healing items may be used in battle.
3) No healing items may be purchased at the pokemart (I can only use the items I find)
4) You can only catch the first new pokemon you see on each route. If it runs or faints, too bad.
5) I'm keeping my HM slaves. If one dies it will be put into my box and will NEVER be used in battle.
6) No legendaries
So like Ninja, I'll be saving before any major battles or when I need a break. I also won't be posting about all the random battles, only the major ones and any captures. Yady yady yada, it's time to begin my journey~

My name is Miles, a 10(?) year old boy, and this is my story.
*Pause for a sec, does anyone even know the age of the protagonist in HG/SS? Ok sorry, back to my story*
Today marks the day where I leave my childhood, and enter into the realm of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. I changed from my PJs, put on my shoes, and wore my cap. As I walked downstairs, my mother greeted me, reminding me of the appointment at the Pokemon lab with Professor Elm. He's a bit of a nut-case but hey, who isn't? My mother also gave me my bag, saying I may need it for my journey.
As I set out of my house, a little blue ball ran towards me. A girl soon followed and they both left. Paying no heed to them, I began my walk to the lab. As I arrived at the lab, there was a kid around the same age as me staring at the side window of the lab. However, I paid no attention to him and walked inside.
As I walked in, I was greeted by Professor Elm and tells me that he has a request for me. He also wanted to test his theory of the bonds a trainer and their Pokemon share so he told me to choose one of the Pokeballs at the side. After carefully choosing (Blindly....), I had picked the water pokemon Totodile. I named him Siruis and proceeded along the way. As I was getting out, Professor Elm's lab assistant approached me and gave me Potions that might come in handy on my journey.
Upon leaving, the girl with her little blue ball thing approached me again. She was amazed at Siruis and quickly ran off. I decided to go back to my mom first to show her my new companion. She was amazed at how cute he was (Typical mom....) and gave me my Pokegear which just arrived from the store after being repaired. She also placed her phone number in it. I set off for my job that Professor Elm assigned me. As I was about to leave town however. Professor Elm rushes out of his lab and gives me his phone number. I now set off into the world of Johto.
As I walked along the route, I came upon a sign saying "Route 29, West to Cherrygrove City." If I remember correctly, my job was to go talk to Mr. Pokemon about a package, who's house was in Route 30, north of Cherrygrove City. I proceeded my way through the tall grass.
As I arrive in Cherrygrove City, I was stopped by an Old Man. He quickly assumed I was a rookie trainer and showed me around town. I have to say, for a old man past his 70's.....he's extremely fast....He then gives me a pair of running shoes, which I find completely odd....This at least cuts my traveling time in half. Just as I was about to leave the city, the old man catches up to me and gives me a map card for my Pokegear.
I enter into Route 30 and proceeded my way to Mr. Pokemon's house. I stop by a house thinking it was Mr. Pokemon's house along the way and instead....it was not....The man inside gave me a apricorn case though so it wasn't that bad. I continued my way up north and finally reached Mr. Pokemon's house.
I enter into the house and encounter not only Mr. Pokemon, but world renowned Professor Oak as well! Mr. Pokemon gives me the package he wanted delivered, and Professor Oak gives me my own Pokedex! I also get Professor Oak's number. I prepare to proceed back to my town when I get a call from Professor Elm. Apparently there's a big emergency and I need to get back. I ran as fast as I could, jumping over ledges to make it back.
As I was leaving Cherrygrove City however, the Red-headed boy came. He then bad-mouthed me, some nerve! He then challenged me to a battle. How could I let him talk to me like that? I accepted the battle and sent out Siruis. He sent out a Chikorita. Siruis quickly made short work of him though and the battle was over. The boy was completely shocked by the lost and quickly leaves but in his quickness, he dropped his Trainer Card. He quickly ran back and took it and ran off however I saw his name. I ran back to the lab to see what the problem was.
The police were all over the place. Apparently a Red-headed boy burst through the lab and stole one of the Pokeballs. I told them I fought the boy and his name, Gorden and the police left. I gave the package to Professor Elm which was a Pokemon Egg. He then tells me of the Pokemon gyms and the Pokemon league. My first Gym would be at Violet City. I decided to stay the night at my house though before I left.

End of Day 1.
Day 1 party: Sirius the Totodile (lvl 8).

May 26th 2010
As the day quickly dawned, I set off for what would be my greatest journey yet. After giving a final goodbye to my mother, Siruis and I set off for our journey.
Just as we left town however, we stumbled onto that girl that we met yesterday. She shows me the art of catching Pokemons. I learn that you must first weaken the Pokemon for a higher chance of catching them. When she finished, she handed me Pokeballs. I made my way and stopped by Cherrygrove City to rest up Siruis.
As we made our way up Route 30, I noticed the two trainers that were battling before have finished. They quickly took notice of me and both challenged me. The first trainer I fought sent out a Rattata. Siruis quickly made short works of him with a strong Water Gun. However we were quickly challenged by the second trainer so Siruis had no time for a break. He sent out a Pidgey and again, Siruis easily breezed by without so much as a sweat. However, we were caught by surprise when he sent out a Rattata! He managed to launch a quick attack on Siruis but Siruis quickly took hold of him and threw him up into the air where Siruis launched a powerful Water Gun, propelling the Ratatta away.
Along route 31, we encountered a Caterpie. Deciding to try out the new Pokeballs we acquired, we weakened the Caterpie and I threw the Pokeball at it. It shock for what seemed like forever, and then the ball stopped shaking. Success! My very first caught Pokemon! I decided to name my new companion, Echo. Siruis quickly took a liking to him but Echo was extremely shy and crawled up my back to hide. As we got closer to the next city, a bug catcher stopped us for a battle. I decided to let Echo have a shot in battling. The bug catcher also used a Caterpie, and we exchanged a series of Tackles to each other. However Echo came up on top. He sent out two more Caterpies and all met the same fate. His last Pokemon was not a Caterpie however but instead was a Weedle! I felt confident that Echo can hold his own against the Weedle. Eventually, Echo came up on top. Echo seemed much happier knowing that he had defeated not 1, but 4 other Pokemons.
We finally reached the city gates, but just as we were about to enter it, the girl from back home, caught up to us.....Strange....she went ahead of us and now she caught up to us....She gave me a VS. Recorder and now we also learned her name to be Lyra. She quickly ran off with her Marill following close behind.
We arrived at our first destination, Violet City, home of the first gym. Stopping at the Pokemon Center, I learned the gym leader, Falkner, specialized in flying types. Echo would have a tough time against him so I decided for Siruis to take the challenge alone. However, before we went to the gym, we decided to visit the Sprout Tower, supposedly to be build around a giant Bellsprout that became the pillar. As we climbed the ladder to begin the climb, a priest met us at the top. He challenged us to a battle to see if we could proceed. He sent out a Bellsprout while I sent out Echo. Echo quickly dispatched all three of his Bellsprouts and the strangest thing occurred after the battle. Echo began glowing and then turned into a cocoon. The priest informed me that Echo has evolved into Metapod, the second evolutionary stage of Caterpie. I was quickly overjoyed at the news and Echo was too. We continued to climb, battling many other priests.
As we got to the top and battling a few more priests, Echo managed to evolve again! This time he evolved into the final form in the evolutionary chain, Butterfree! When we got to the back of the room, low and behold, Gorden was there. He had already defeated the elder of the tower and was quite angered by the fact that the elder was too weak. Gorden quickly left and I went up to the elder. The elder wanted to test my bond with my Pokemon and so challenged me to a battle. I sent out Echo and he quickly dispatched the elder's Bellsprout. However the battle's not over yet and he decides to sent out a Hoothoot. I call Echo back after the long battles he had and sent out Siruis. This will allow Siruis to get used to battling flying type Pokemons. It was a tough battle, but Siruis eventually defeated Hoothoot even after being put to sleep. I gave Siruis a break and sent out Echo again to face his last Pokemon, a Bellsprout. Echo's Confusion quickly knocked out the elder's Bellsprout and the battle was over.
The elder presented me the TM Flash, and told me I was ready to face Falkner. I made my way down the tower and proceeded to rest at the nearby Pokemon Center for my upcoming battle with Falkner. After my Pokemons were rested, I proceeded my way to the gym.
I took the lift needed to get to the top of the gym, and faced the trainers waiting there who would test if I had a chance in beating Falkner. They were quickly dealt with and I made my way to Falkner.
As we reached him, he was not surprised that we passed by the two trainers in his gym. The moment he saw me, he knew I was a strong trainer. We began our battle and he sent out his first Pokemon, a Pidgey. I knew this wouldn't be a ordinary Pidgey. Siruis opened up with a Water Gun but was unable to knock it out. Pidgey proceeded to using Sand-Attack. Siruis was quickly blinded by sand and shot out another Water Gun at random. It thankfully made contact and Pidgey was knocked out. Falkner was unphased however and sent out his strongest Pokemon out, a Pidgeotto. It was extremely fast as it flew around Siruis and unleashed a Gust attack. Siruis reacted by shooting a Water Gun but Pidgeotto did not react to it. We continued to exchange blows as this soon became a test of endurance. In the end, it was a close battle as Siruis sent out his strongest Water Gun, finally knocking out Pidgeotto. Siruis was extremely weak however and after the battle was over, quickly fainted due to exhaustion. I placed Siruis back into his Pokeball and Falkner presented me with the Zephyr Badge. He also gave me the TM Roost. I thanked him for the battle and left the gym to rest at the Pokemon Center for the night.
As we got outside, I received a call from Professor Elm. He wants me to carry the egg that I delivered to him and his assistant is waiting at the Pokemon Mart to give me the egg. I got the egg and bid farewell to the assistant. As I got outside, I was stopped by a women wearing a Kimono. She commented on the egg and left right after.
I made my way to the Pokemon Center. Siruis was still asleep as we got there and Echo looked pretty tired as well. I too was tired after the long day and rested at the Pokemon Center.

May 27th 2010
We set off for our next destination, Azalea Town, where the second gym resides. As we left the city, we spoke with a fairly large man. He gave us HM6 which contained Rock Smash. I said thanks and we continued along the way. We made our way down route 32 battling many trainers.
We stopped at a Pokemon Center along the way as we had to go through a cave and I wanted my team ready for the trek. As we entered the cave, I was surprised at how bright it actually was. The cave was still fairly dark but the light was able to get in and you can see where your going. I was also surprised by the amount of trainers inside waiting for a battle. As we continued to travel through the cave, we encountered a Sandshrew. I decided to try to catch it and switched out Siruis with Echo. Echo quickly unleashed Sleep Powder on it and followed up with a Tackle. I threw my Pokeball at it and waited for the ball to stop shaking. It was a success! I decided to name her Blink. I also found that she was holding on to a Quick Claw. What luck!
As we made our way to the end of the cave and got outside, we were surprised that it was raining! We ran towards Azalea Town as fast as we could. Just as we reached Azalea Town however, it stopped raining. I noticed two men talking to each other. One was a fairly old man while the other was a young man wearing all black with a black cap. The old man quickly ran off and the younger one stood in front of a well. I didn't take much notice into it and walked to Azalea Town. I stopped at the Pokemon Center and learned that an old man named Kurt lives in Azalea Town and can make special Pokeballs. I also learned that the gym is currently closed at the moment since there seems to be trouble. Having no gym to go to yet, I decided to visit Kurt.
I met Kurt and his granddaughter and he informed me that he can make Pokeballs for me, only until after he deals with a problem first. He explained to me the history of Team Rocket and how they had disbanded three years ago. Kurt then left for the well where Team Rocket is apparently cutting of Slowpoke's Tail for money. How cruel! I decided to follow Kurt to see if I could help.
As I got to the well, I noticed the man in black was gone. I climbed down the ladder and noticed Kurt on the floor. Apparently he scared off the Team Rocket Grunt but slipped and fell down and hurt his back. It was now my job to stop Team Rocket in his place.
As I entered into the underground cave, I came upon a Zubat. I decided to try to catch it. I was successful with it and named it Owen. I also battled a few of the Team Rocket grunts. None were that challenging. While I was walking in the well, the egg finally hatched and I received a Togepi! I decided to name him Egg Bomb. I finally reached the leader of the group in the well, Proton, and we battled. I defeated him in the end and he decided to abandon his mission and ran away along with the grunts. Kurt soon arrived with his back better and is happy the Slowpokes are now safe.
We left the well and went back to Kurt's house. He has agreed to help make me Pokeballs. I also got a Pokeball from him and his number. I also learned that the gym is now open! I rest at the Pokemon Center and set off for the gym at once.
I enter the gym and immediately battled all the trainers there. The gym was a bit confusing to get a hang of however. And I always felt eyes watching me as I walked through the gym. One of the trainers there proved to be quite difficult however. His Weedle managed to poison Siruis and I had to end the battle quickly. However he was not done yet, as he sent out his Kakuna. Knowing Siruis was injured, I switched him with Echo. Echo made short works of Kakuna and I decided to send out Siruis again. However, the bug catcher sent out a Beedrill! The poison was also still in Siruis and was injuring him badly. Beedrill launched Fury Attacks after Fury Attacks and Siruis was getting weaker and weaker. He managed to unload a Water Gun on Beedrill but it wasn't enough. Just as he unleashed another Fury Attack, it looked like the battle was over for Siruis. However, Siruis wouldn't give up and his ability activated! He unleashed Water Gun with his Torrent Ability and Beedrill was knocked out. After the battle, Siruis started glowing! He had evolved into Croconaw! I decided to rest at the Pokemon Center before continuing again.
After my Pokemons were fully healed, I set off to the gym once more. I made it to the end and challenged the leader of the gym, Bugsy. Scyther was sent out first and I sent out Echo. Scyther used Leer and Echo started to get nervous yet still followed my commands and used Sleep Powder. It was a hit! Scyther fell asleep and Echo blasted a Gust at it. Scyther was knocked back super effective but still stood. Echo unleashed another Gust but to no avail. Finally Scyther was knocked out and Bugsy sent out Metapod. I sent out Siruis to give Echo a break. Siruis unleashed a powerful Water Gun but was unable to knock it out. Metapod then jumped out and launched a Tackle however Siruis was barely moved by it. Ha! Victory was assured as Siruis unleashed another Water Gun, knocking out Metapod. Bugsy sent out his last Pokemon, a Kakuna. I decided to let Echo have back his fun and had him use Confusion. The battle was quickly over and Bugsy presented me with the Hive Badge.
As I left, Gorden arrived and challenged me to a battle. I accepted and sent out Echo as my first Pokemon. He sent out a Gastly. Too bad for him that Echo knows Confusion and the battle was quickly over. However Gorden wasn't done yet and sent out Zubat, which was quickly shot down with Confusion. He finally sent out his last Pokemon, his Bayleef. Echo used Gust on it and managed to knock it down, but not out. Bayleef responded by using Reflect. Echo used Gust one more time and this time knocked out Bayleef. Gorden quickly ran off and I decided to rest at the Pokemon Center for the night.
End of Day 3.

After preparing for our journey the next morning, we entered the Ilex forest. Upon entering however, we were quickly stopped by a man who was in desperate need of aid. Apparently he had lost the company's Farfetch'd and wants my aid to help him. Seeing how the route out of the forest is blocked by branches, I decided to help him. I quickly recovered one of the Farfetch'd but the other was a bit more tricky to get. He was surrounded by tree branches so I had to watch where I stepped. I finally managed to corner him and grabbed him from behind. As I got back to the man, his manager was also with him. They both thanked me for my aid and the manager gave me HM1. It contained Cut, the very move I needed, what a lucky find! I could finally cut through the branches and proceed out of the forest.
Along the way, I encountered another person inside the forest. It was the girl wearing a Kimono. She looked lost and asked if I could help her find her way, seeming to not remember me. Owen quickly flew off showing the direction and she thank both me and Owen.
We continued along the path and out of the forest. It's so good seeing the sun again after walking through that dark forest. As we proceeded along the path, we encountered Lyra with an old man. Apparently the old man is her grandpa and both her grandparents run a Day-Care for Pokemons. We both acquainted each other and I got their number should I ever leave any of my Pokemon there. I continued on to Goldenrod City and rest at the Pokemon Center.
I learned that the Gym Leader of Goldenrod was currently not in the gym but at the radio tower. I decided I would visit that place first.
As I approached the tower, I noticed a man dressed in black with a cap. Team Rocket! What are they doing here? The man seemed to not notice me as he was more interested in the tower. I quickly ran into the tower and went towards the counter.
Upon reaching the counter, I noticed a girl with pink hair talking to one of the attendants. I asked one of the other attendant what the girl is doing. I was informed she was doing a contest to obtain a radio card. I decided to take the test as well.
I passed the test with flying colors! The attendant presented me with a radio card and I inserted it into my Pokegear. The girl noticed and told me how she couldn't get number 3. She also told me her name is Whitney and that she's Goldenrod's gym leader. What luck running into her like this! She went off back to the gym. I decided to train a bit more before doing the gym.
Along route 35, I managed to catch a Nidoran¡ñ. I decided to name him Envy. I also battled a few trainers and among one of the battles, Owen evolved! Owen soon became a Golbat. I decided I was ready and went back to the city to challenge Whitney.
Upon entering the gym, I discovered all the trainers there were girls. Boy or girl, they would all meet the same fate against my team! After beating each one, I finally came upon Whitney herself. I decided to send out Echo first. She responded by sending out her Clefairy. Echo quickly unloaded Sleep Powder on her Clefairy and scored a hit. Clefairy quickly fell asleep and I withdrew Echo and switched him with Siruis. Siruis unleashed a powerful Ice Fang but it wasn't enough. Thankfully Clefairy was still asleep and Siruis then used Water Gun. Clefairy was soon knocked out and she sent out her last Pokemon, a Miltank. I withdrew Siruis and sent out Owen. Owen used Confuse Ray on Miltank but Miltank had a Lum Berry and was soon recovered from the confusion. Miltank proceeded with a Stomp that Owen was able to withstand. Owen launched another Confuse Ray and managed to make another hit. Miltank was too confused and only managed to hit herself. I decided to let Owen rest and sent out Echo. Miltank was still too confused and continued to hit herself while Echo used Sleep Powder on her. I withdrew Echo and sent out Siruis to finish off Miltank and thankfully Miltank was still asleep. Siruis launched a powerful Ice Fang on her but Miltank wasn't even scratched by it. Thankfully Miltank was still asleep. Siruis used Water Gun instead but still no effect. Miltank sadly woke up and got past her confusion and used Milk Drink. This was not good since Miltank quickly recovered. Siruis continued to use Ice Fang and Water Gun but Miltank continued to use Stomp and Milk Drink. Finally, one of Siruis' Ice Fang froze Miltank! Using this chance, Siruis unleashed Water Gun finally knocking out Miltank.
After the battle however, Whitney started crying and nothing I did could stop her. With no other options, I decided to leave, but I was stopped by one of the trainers. She informed me that Whitney is always like this and would stop crying soon. I went back to Whitney and indeed she stopped crying. She told me she actually had fun with our battle but was still bummed that she lost. She presented me with the Plain Badge and also TM 45 which contained Attract. I left the gym and went back to the Pokemon Center to rest up.
After my Pokemon were fully rested, I continued my journey to the next gym. I also picked up a Squirtbottle from the flower shop beside the gym and a Bicycle which might help my journey. I decided to test out my bike and went up north to the next destination.
When I reached route 36, I was stopped by a tree that could not be cut down for some strange reason. A girl nearby told me that when she tried watering it, the tree jumped up and actually attacked her! I decided to try this for myself and used the Squirtbottle I got from the flower shop. When I sprayed at the tree, the tree started moving! It turns out the tree was actually a Sudowoodo. I quickly weaken it and decided to catch it. After catching it, I decided to name it Sherwood. I continued up the route to reach my next destination, Ecruteak City. Along the way after battling a few trainers, Envy also evolved! He soon became a Nidorino.
After finally reaching town, I decided to rest for the night and challenge the gym the next day.
