These clauses are standard for ALL PLO battles.
Site rules:
1) This website is NOT an online game itself. You MUST own a DS Pokemon game WITH WIFI in order to challenge our league. So please... Do not ask where to catch Pokemon and what not. This site is not an actual game!
2) This site is to have fun. Try not to be overly competitive but I do recommend you put some thought into you team and EV train. Use pokemon you like, not an exact copy of the latest stall team you saw on smogon. Try to win, but have fun with it. Besides, you know you want to use that Farfetch'd that’s been sitting in your box for months.
3) We clean the site bi-monthly of empty accounts (accounts with 0 total post), so you should at least post in the new members board if you want to keep your account from getting deleted.
4) Any ban list should be agreed upon prior to battle. Currently, we generally use Smogon's standard tiers, but other Pokemon can be banned, as long as both parties agree.
6) The use of all glitches (including sky drop) in battle is prohibited.
7) The following clauses will be considered standard for all competitive battles (gym challenges, tournaments, etc.)
Sleep clause: no more than one pokemon may be slept by an opponent at a time
Evasion clause: your pokemon’s evasion may not be raised more than one stage. The move, Minimize, is banned from battle as well as it raises evasion by two stages. This clause includes having sand veil or snow cloak along with bright powder or lax incense.
Species clause: you may not use more than one of the same pokemon on a team
OHKO clause: Moves that automatically kill a pokemon are banned (Fissure, Sheer Cold, etc.)
Legal Release Clause: Unreleased DW abilities and unreleased poekmon are banned unless both players consent to use them.
8) Optional[/color] Clauses. These are battle limitations that you can request during fun battles if both parties agree. They ARE NOT STANDARD. They are only optional. If you wish to invoke an optional clause, tell your opponent before the battle begins. If they don't understand what clause you're asking for. Refer them to this thread.
a) Hax Items clause: Items that rely on luck to work are not allowed. These items include: Focus Band, Quick Claw, Lax Incense, and Bright Powder.
b) Item Clause: More than one pokemon on your team cannot hold the same item. Each item has to be unique.
c) Self-KO Clause: If both competitors are down to their last pokemon, and one of them KOs his own pokemon in order to take down his opponent, that player is designated the loser of the match. Basically, if you end the match with Self-destruct, Explosion, or Destiny Bond, you lose. Recoil moves DO NOT COUNT.
d) Weather Clause: Neither player will bring weather inducing pokemon. This includes auto weather and weather set-up moves.
e)Stealth Rock clause: Neither player may use the move Stealth Rock in battle
f) Legend Clause: Neither player may use any legendary pokemon, regardless of whether or not they are on the 'big legend' list.
g) Competitive Standard Clause: Battlers will follow all standard rule and bans for competitive pokemon as determined by Smogon who dictate the banlist for standard competitive play.
