I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I should buy it...
The main reason I'm considering buying it is because my DSi hinge has been loose ever since I got it...
The screen wiggles around side to side and doesn't click into place like normal DSi's. It pisses me off and I pretty much need to care for the thing like it's a child or else it will snap off.
I'm considering buying the DSi XL, because it would most likely be sturdier than my DSi and because huge screens are awesome. I rarely carry my DSi around in my pocket anyway. It's always on my desk or in my backpack.
I would sell my DSi to gamestop to make a bit of money, but I would still need to spend a bit for the XL.
I was going to wait for the 3DS, but considering Gen 5 is going to be on the DS, and all I really play on the DS is Pokemon, I won't need one for a good while.
What do you guys think?

3ds is backward compatitable. Japan will get 5th gen around winter (like usual). Which means we'll get it around spring (like usual). The 3DS is supposed to comeout by next march. All that adds to me thinkin you should w8 for 3DS.

I would still consider even knowing my reasoning just gave my thoughts. XL is a stupid thing tbh as soon as it is released about a week later announce 3DS. Like wth.

I think it was SUPER stupid for Nintendo to announce the 3DS right before the DSi XL came out -___-;
DIDN'T ANYONE THINK "Hey, this might halt sales of the XL..."!? They must be crazy or something...
Of course, WE would think it's stupid.
The DSi XL isn't geared at the young gamers who already have DS's.
It's aimed at older gamers who don't play much.
It kind of makes sense when you think about it from THEIR perspective.
I'm just considering it because my DSi will snap at any moment, so I mine as well buy it since it has huge screens, which I find delicious.
Such a hard decision T__T.

Ohh, that makes sense.
Pro Tip: Use rapid spin once you've gotten rid of the stealth rocker/spiker/etc.
